WORKSHOPS

(i) Do you do customized workshops?

Yes, we can develop workshops for children around literacy, science, speech and drama based on your requirements. Our adults workshops will centre on Literacy teaching.  Prices will depend on the expected number of participants as well as the content and duration of the workshop.

(ii) How early do I need to book a customized workshop?

Please provide us at least 6 weeks’ of preparation time.

(iii) I have booked a customized workshop earlier but I need to cancel it. What is your workshop cancellation policy?

Please refer to our Return/Refund Policy here.

(iv) Where are your workshops held at?

For customized workshops, we will usually require the workshop requestor to provide a venue. If the requestor does not have a venue, we can help to source for one and pass on the cost of the venue to the requestor.

For our general workshops, we will indicate the venue within each workshop’s description.

(v) How long do your workshops usually take?

It varies depending on the content and the age and number of attendees - our shortest workshops take an hour. Our longest could run from 9am to 5pm!

(vi) I have signed up a workshop for my child. Am I able to sit in?

This varies from workshop to workshop, depending on the amount of space we have available. We will indicate in the workshop description if that session is open for parents/caregivers to sit in!

(vii) I have signed up a workshop for myself/my child but am unable to make it. Am I able to get a refund?
Please check our Refund Policy here.

PROGRAMMES

(i) I’m interested to volunteer for the ELP programme. Is there an age limit to be a volunteer?

We’re happy to hear that! The age limit for our volunteers vary depending on which partner charity you volunteer with. Right now, the age limits range from 14 to 18.

(ii) How do I sign up as a volunteer?

You may fill up our contact form to sign up. We will be in touch with you afterwards!

(iii) I am not sure if my child has a Learning Difficulty. Are you able to test my child?

We do conduct informal screening tests to determine if the children in our programme could be at risk of a learning difficulty.  We also partner with an Educational Psychologist to conduct screening or full assessments for children in our charity-based programmes. However, we do not provide once-off screening/testing services, and would recommend that you approach the Dyslexia Association of Singapore or KKH’s Child Development Clinic for formalized screening or assessments.
